Platform Decommissioning

DSL is a specialist in the decommissioning of platform-installation drilling packages, with a track record of successful projects in the North Sea and worldwide. We are typically called in to decommission drilling rigs and packages to reduce deck load on existing platforms, or to remove specific modules ahead of major dismantling by heavy-lift cranes.

Decommissioning project management, engineering, planning and site personnel are all provided from the company's in-house resources. Usually the most cost-effective method of removing a drilling derrick is to dismantle it piece-small on location, and DSL's own trained and experienced rig-building crews undertake this worldwide.
