DSL delivered fabric maintenance, construction and redundant equipment removal on Perenco's Inde 49/23 Alpha platform in the Southern North Sea, completing over 130,000 man hours without incident on a £4.7m contract.

The Inde 49/23 Alpha, a three-jacket single platform arrangement off the coast of East Anglia, was first installed in 1972 with additions in 1979 and 1980. Over 40 years on, it had gone well beyond its intended field life of around 25 years and needed extensive integrity remedial works.
With market forecasts pointing to a further 10 to 15 years of life from new hydrocarbon retrieval technology, Perenco needed the platform's structural and pipework integrity brought up to a standard that would make future major works unnecessary and avoid integrity issues constraining production. The works were supported from the jack-up accommodation barge Sea Fox 1.
