Halliburton needed inspection, survey and associated services across 4 to 5 land rigs in Indonesia, covering everything from evaluating each rig at every move to keeping equipment and plant certification current.
Halliburton engaged DSL on a two year contract. For each rig move our team carries out rig assessment and acceptance surveys, alongside dropped object surveys, lifting gear inspection and recertification, and API 4G mast and substructure inspections.
DSL also supplies a rigging loft for each rig, manages spares and rigging inventory, establishes periodic maintenance programmes, evaluates competency and trains the drill crews, and provides a troubleshooting and maintenance support team.
All of this is managed in RigCentral, which brings every service and inspection into one place and raises alerts whenever recertification of a component or system is due. The work is delivered through our in-house resources and backed by our own business infrastructure.
The contract gives Halliburton a single provider covering rig evaluation, auditing of operational systems and certification, through to the management support needed to keep equipment and plant certification maintained at all times.
